A bunch of Refugees (plus some honored guests) are getting together this Wednesday evenening (Feb. 15th) starting between 5 and 6pm at The Barcelona Bar. It is located on the West side of 8th Avenue between 54th and 55th Streets. I don’t have emails for a bunch of people so please tell everyone that you know who holds the values of the Tripple close to their hearts to drop by for a drink or six.
Our lovely Jennifer (she is the one on the left 
) from the Tripple is now bartending at a pub called “Circus” on Tuesday and Thursday nights. I am not sure what time she starts so show up early and if she is not there yet gush to the working bartender about how wonderful she is. I have not been there yet but I hear good things. I encourage everyone to drop by, say hello and buy a bunch of drinks! It is located on 9th Avenue between 43rd and 44th Street.
I really want this to be a system where Tripple Refugees can post any news they want within reason. If you have any news, events or just want to try to get people together to hang out just send me an email and I will give you permission to post to the site. After your first post is approved you will be able to post whenever you want. The posts are moderated so they will not appear until they are approved. This means that if you want to let people know about something coming up please submit the post as far in advance as you can since I won’t be able to approve every post immediately. This is especially true for your first post since I have to enable your account for posts first.
Registered users have the ability to comment on posts. Comments are also moderated so they might take some time before they appear.
If you find that your posts or comments are taking a while please send me a message and give me a nudge to check it out. I will not be on this site constantly since I have other things to do. Once you have become a trusted user I can upgrade your account so that your posts do not need approval and they will show up immediately.
Well, we are back online with new software running the site. I have not gotten the look and feel completed yet so I am using a default theme. I wanted to get the site up and running as quickly as possible so I will be changing and adding things over the next several weeks. The new site does not have as many bells and whistles as the old one but it is easier to manage.
I was unable to move the user accounts over from the old system so everyone will have to register again. Sorry about that but since I don’t know your old passwords there was no way to set up an account without emailing each of you new passwords and that was too much work on my end.
The Photo Gallery is still under development. I am hoping that the issues I was having with the software running on the old site will not cause problems with the new software.
There may be some times when the site is unavailable because of development. I will try to give warning before this happens but I can’t guarantee it.
